Sandra Lerner, June Kelly, 591 Broadway, near Houston Street,
(212) 226-1660 (through Jan. 4). Working on the floor on big
expanses of raw canvas, Ms. Lerner combines traditional Chinese
brushwork, Jackson Pollock's splatter, Helen Frankenthaler's
staining and Agnes Martin's pencil lines to create pale, beige
abstractions that are physically assertive yet spacious and
delicate.
